A home service franchise success story on Queensland’s, Gold Coast
There’s no doubt 2020 was an enormous challenge for My Home Watch as home owners worked from home and cancelled holidays, eliminating the need for home & pet care and real estate services came to a holt.
Facing a 95% revenue drop due to travel restrictions and global travel stopped completely, CEO & Founding Franchisor Natasha Morgan had to think quickly to guide her business back from the brink.
Her first move was to assist franchisees by waving their monthly franchise fees from March until November “I didn’t have to think twice about the decision I made to support our franchisees, I knew it was going to sting the company, but it was the right thing to do”; her second was to adapt and pivot quickly into the essential home service sector, adding home and office cleaning, window cleaning and lawn and garden care into the franchise. Natasha says “forming the My Home Services Group, has been the best move for us!”
The COVID-19 Crisis across Australia escalated quickly, the adaption and launch of the new My Home Services Group, website and marketing was all implemented in just four short weeks. Natasha Morgan says “that while leadership throughout the height of the pandemic required excessive decisiveness, transparency and tough decision-making. We needed to leverage a competitive advantage. The brand is strong in the market and now our customers love us even more! Through resilience and the willingness to quickly adapt to change it has pulled us through our toughest time.
We now have too many customers and not enough franchisee’s. Committing to plans for an aggressive recruitment push for “2021” across Australia’s capital cities and some regional areas.
“Thanks to the commitment and efforts of Franchisee, Doug Riddell, owner of the Redlands / Logan & Gold Coast North area, we now have a proven recession proof home service franchise and I couldn’t be more delighted” Natasha Morgan said.

My franchise started in Jan 2020, so l didn’t have a lot of history and was just starting
to build my customer base when COVID-19 kicked in. I have not looked back since
about the start of April and my business monthly average has now doubled in
November and December looks like being the same.
4. 2021 plans for your business growth on the Gold Coast?
I have just put on my first contractor to assist me on some of my bigger jobs and will
